Project Descriptions:

To Bear: (2017)

To Bear was my Junior Year Spring Intermediate Animation final where I spent a semester working on from pre-production to post-production. I was curious about the 2D animation style that were made by 3D animation softwares and decided to try it with this project. I created 2D painterly textures in Photoshop and added them as 2D shaders in the Maya Software. The application of both 2D and 3D softwares allowed me to create the 3D lighting atmosphere with a sense of space while having the 2D textures. For this film I also experimented when still shots and minimal changes in camera angles. Originally I wanted it to be one camera angle, but I had to adjust to better convey the story.  The softwares I used were Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere and Protools.

Dog Days: (2016)

Dog Days was my Junior Year Fall Intermediate Animation final where I spent a semester working on it from pre-production to post-production. My love for both 2D and 3D computer animation inspired me to combine the two animation techniques. The story was based on a real-life story that I hope to portray my love for dogs and hopefully other audiences can relate. The softwares I used were Autodesk Maya, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Animate, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Space Fluff: (2017)

This is a funny little short that I made in a week during my free time using Adobe Animate.

Summer Animation Internship Playblast (2016)

This is a collection of 3D animations I made during my internship at Kantana Animation Studio in Bangkok, Thailand. The rigs were open source. From this I learned the techniques in animation layout, directing, acting and other Maya essential skills.

Oh Eggs (2016)

Oh Eggs is a series of hand drawn traditional animation that I made to explore and challenge the physics in animation. This was a one week project and the softwares I used to compile them was Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Dragon Frame.

Drought is not a Joke (2015)

This is an animated short I made with Adobe Animate. I made this to make people more aware of drought, but also add a little comical aspect to it.

Heroic Landing Jump Test (2017)

This is an animation test I made with Autodesk Maya and an open source rig. After realizing that a lot of my work doesn’t have a lot of action scenes I wanted to try and challenge myself by making this in my free time.

Garden Walks (2014)

This was one of my early explorations with paper puppet animation and character design. I designed the character, made the puppet and animated it. This was a one week project.

White and Orange (2015)

This is a semester long individual project and it was my first full CGI film. The short was inspired by my little doodle of mutated animals. This project allowed me to be a character designer, story artist, director, modeller, rigger, compositor and an editor. The softwares I used where After Effects, Photoshop, Mudbox and Autodesk Maya.

Facial Rig 1 (2015)

This is a facial rig test on a character I designed, modeled, textured and animated. I also had fun adding lighting in the background. The softwares I used were After Effects, Mudbox and Maya.

I love you (2015)

This is a 2D animated short I made with Adobe Animate. Here I wrote the scripts, casted voice actors and animated them.

Exaggeration Test (2015)

This is a hand drawn traditional animation test I made.

Weight Experiment (2015)

This was my early explorations with acting in animation and how I can portray weight of objects through acting. The software I used was Autodesk Maya.

Angry Catchers (2015)

This was another of my early explorations with Maya and how I can give life and character to inanimate objects.

Hammer (2015)

I was exploring the different ways to animate different materials such as a hard, solid hammer and a bouncy ball.

Cotton Monster (2014)

This was one of my early explorations with 2D paper puppet animation lip-sync.

Toxic Surf (2014)

This is a one week project where I had to animate a character based on three random words that were given to me: cute surfing monster. This was a 2D hand drawn traditional animation. The softwares I used to composite the elements were After Effects and DragonFrame. Here I got to learn to work under restrictions.
